Osteomyelitis is a serious deep tissue infection for which traditional treatments often yield limited efficacy and significant side effects. In recent years, stimulus-responsive materials have attracted considerable attention as innovative therapeutic agents. These materials can release antimicrobial agents in response to changes in the microenvironment of the infection site, biological signals, or external physicochemical stimuli, enabling highly targeted treatment and broad application prospects. This article provides a comprehensive review and analysis of recent research on stimulus-responsive antimicrobial materials. The aim is to provide new insights for the development of more effective treatment strategies for osteomyelitis, thereby significantly improving patient outcomes. |
