Objective To investigate the application value of 10 mL beveled syringe needle in arthroscopic calcaneal spur resection in the treatment of refractory metatarsal fasciitis. Methods A total of 43 patients who were diagnosed with refractory plantar fasciitis with calcaneal spur due to heel pain were selected from July 2020 to January 2024, and 43 patients underwent arthroscopic plantar fascia release and calcaneal spur resection according to the patients' wishes, and 10 mL beveled syringe needles were used to assist calcaneal spur positioning and arthroscopic artificial cavity normal saline drainage. The operation time, recovery walking time, complications and incision healing degree were recorded, and the postoperative foot pain and foot function were evaluated by VAS score, AOFAS and Maryland score. Results All patients were followed up for 6 to 9 months, and no other complications occurred during the follow-up period, and no bone spur recurrence was observed. All patients successfully completed the operation with a duration of 20-45 min and the first walk on the ground 2-4 d after surgery. One patient had a little residual pain in the heel after surgery, and the rest of the patients did not have complications such as incision dehiscence, infection, and delayed healing during the perioperative period. The surgical incisions were all 2 incisions with a length of 0.5 cm, and the patients all acquired the grade A healing. At 6 months after surgery, the VAS score, AOFAS and Maryland scores were significantly improved compared with those before operation, and there were statistically significant differences (P<0.05). At 6 months after operation, the average AOFAS score was (93.49±5.01), and the clinical effect of the patients was evaluated according to the AOFAS score, 34 cases were excellent and 9 cases were good, with an excellent and good rate of 100%.Conclusion The use of 10 mL beveled syringe needle to assist arthroscopic arthroscopic plantar fascia release and calcaneal spur resection is safe and effective, convenient to use, low price, easy for surgeons to operate, continuously maintain a clear surgical field, shorten the operation time, reduce the surgical risk, and has certain clinical application value. |
