The bridge combined fixation system (BCFS) is a set of independent internal fixation system designed according to BO concept. It has biomechanical and minimally invasive properties, and it combines the advantages of the nail plate system, the intramedullary nail system, and the external fixation stent. Since its promotion and application, it has been recognized by the majority of experts. Its excellent efficacy has been confirmed by a large number of clinical practices, and it is the most widely indicated endosolid product in a single system. This article reviews the structural components, biomechanical characteristics, basic biomechanical research, clinical application, complications and prospects of the bridge combined fixation system. |
