The lower lumbar burst fractures as a special type of spinal fractures, low incidence compared with thoracolumbar fractures, accounts for about 1% of all patients with spinal fractures, and is not so common in clinical, but it is often caused by high-energy violence, trauma, involvement of vertebral body. There are many controversies on the choice of surgical indications and surgical procedure. In this paper, the anatomical features of the lower lumbar burst fracture, damage type, fracture classification and selection of operation method were reviewed,and introduces some recent research progress, which will provide reference for us in the treatment of lower lumbar burst fracture patients. |
