| Objective To analyze blood loss and risk factors in intertrochanteric fractures in aged patients treated with universal femoral locking plate. Methods A retrospective analysis was made on the clinical data of 53 cases of intertrochanteric fractures which were treated by universal femoral locking plate from January 2015 to January 2017，the estimated total blood loss and hidden blood loss and overt blood loss were calculated by Gross and Nadler equations. The multiple linear regression was performed to analyse the risk factors of hidden blood loss. Results There was no significant difference in the amount of intraoperative blood loss between the subgroups, P>0.05, and compared with the subgroups of total blood loss and hidden blood loss, gender, age, complication, EVANS score, operation timing, operation time were statistically significant, P<0.05. Multiple linear regression showed gender, age, complications, EVANS score, operation timing, operation time were hidden blood loss significant risk factors. Conclusion The amount of hidden blood loss was large in intertrochanteric fractures in aged patients treated with universal femoral locking plate, so it is necessary to pay attention for the clinicians in the department of orthopedics. |
